Explorers
We mix the year groups within Explorer classes. The students access core subjects as well as a variety of other subjects including Forest School, Performing Arts and Cooking.
Transition is a key area that we work on in Explorer department, as we understand that it is a big step up from Primary School, the students work closely with key staff, learning school rules and building positive relationships. Each class has Nurture based subjects on a regular basis including Art Therapy, Physical Therapy and Nurture play.
All students are offered 1:1 or small group therapies including Music Therapy, Lego Therapy, Counselling and Nurture groups. We aim to make the transition to High School as smooth and as simple as possible.
