    Two Rivers High School

Independent Living Skills Curriculum Statement

 

We believe that our pupils should be prepared for life after school. Pupils in the Sixth Form at Two Rivers are given opportunities to develop crucial skills which they may need in the future. Independent Living Skills is offered as an option to focus on and develop skills including:

 

• Personal Safety in the home
• Personal Safety in the Community
• Food preparation, cooking and serving
• Planning a journey
• Myself within the community
• Managing own money

 

Pupils will complete units and work towards a WJEC Pathways qualification. This will be accomplished with a combination of written work, class discussions and practical tasks.
